Location: Onsight Rawalpindi or Remote

Reports To: IT Manager

Job Summary:

As an IT Support Specialist at Global Sky BPO, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our staff and ensuring that all IT systems run smoothly. You will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist with system upgrades, and implement IT solutions that enhance productivity and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first-level support for IT-related issues, including hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Assist employees with technical inquiries via phone, email, or in-person, ensuring prompt and effective resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other peripherals.
  • Monitor and maintain IT equipment inventory, ensuring all hardware is up to date and functioning properly.
  • Collaborate with the IT team to implement system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Document support issues and solutions in the ticketing system for future reference and analysis.
  • Train employees on new software applications and IT policies, promoting best practices for IT security.
  • Assist in managing user accounts, permissions, and access rights in accordance with company policies.
  • Stay current with technology trends and advancements to provide recommendations for improvements.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.
  • Proven experience in IT support or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
  • Strong understanding of computer systems, networks, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with common operating systems (Windows, macOS).
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Relevant IT certifications (e.g., CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional) are a plus.
