Job Summary:

As a Medical Billing Specialist at Global Sky BPO, you will be responsible for managing the billing processes for healthcare providers. Your role will involve ensuring accurate and timely billing of services, managing claims, and addressing any issues that may arise in the revenue cycle. You will play a crucial role in optimizing revenue flow and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and submit accurate medical claims to insurance companies and government agencies.
• Review patient records and coding to ensure proper billing practices are followed.
• Follow up on unpaid claims and resolve any discrepancies with insurers.
• Manage patient billing inquiries and provide explanations regarding charges and payment options.
• Maintain detailed records of billing activities and ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and staff to ensure accurate documentation and billing processes.
• Analyze billing data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Assist in training new staff on billing processes and procedures as needed.
• Stay updated on changes in billing regulations and reimbursement policies.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; a degree in healthcare administration or a related field is preferred.
• Proven experience in medical billing or coding, with a strong understanding of healthcare terminology.
• Knowledge of insurance policies, procedures, and coding systems (e.g., CPT, ICD-10).
• Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Proficient in using medical billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with healthcare providers, patients, and insurers.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
